Itamar Simonson is the Sebastian S. Kresge Professor of Marketing at the Graduate School of Business, Stanford University. He is one of the most influential and cited researchers in the areas of decision making and marketing. Itamar serves on eight editorial boards of leading journals and received many awards for his work. He has published over 60 articles on behavioral decision making, consumer choice and other marketing topics and has discovered some of the most important effects on consumer choice, such as the compromise effect (a term which he coined). His work has been featured in the Washington Post, MSNBC, the New York Times and other publications. Emanuel Rosen is the author of the national bestseller The Anatomy of Buzz a pioneering book which predicted the rise of interpersonal influence in marketing. Prior to writing about word of mouth, he was VP Marketing at Niles Software where he was responsible for launching and marketing the company's flagship product, EndNote, (which spread to a large extent from user to user). Emanuel started his career as a copywriter in Israel where he won two gold medals for his work as well as the Bronze Lion from the Cannes International Advertising Festival. His work has been featured or quoted in The Economist, CNN, Time magazine and other publications. His books are available in thirteen languages.
