Lena and her husband are happily married only because Lena is not in love with her husband. She knows that as soon as love enters a relationship, expectations rise and disappointments follow. The couple live in the Annamalai hills in a tea plantation and since it is notsoprofitable a business any more, they run a homestay within the plantation. The arrival of a guest, Shoola Pani, a wellknown movie star who has run away from life and stardom to forget and hide at the homestay, turns Lena's life upside down. Lena and Shoola's love story is narrated by Komathi, Lena's cook.
About the Author
Anita Nair is the author of the novels,The Better Man, Ladies Coup, Mistress,Lessons in Forgetting and Idris. She has also published a collection of poems titled Malabar Mind, a collection of essays titled Goodnight & God Bless and four books for children. Anita has written the screenplay for the movie adaptation of her novel, Lessons in Forgetting, which was part of the Indian Panorama at IFFI 2012 and won the National Film Award in 2013.
