Basic Electrical Engineering is about the basic concepts of electrical engineering and other fundamental aspects. Application based concepts of circuitry, power generation, machine control and distribution are highlighted in the book.
Basic Electrical Engineering also discusses transformers and their operations in a comprehensive manner. There are chapters which have been extensively revised and these include chapters on induction motors of both three phase and single phase motors. There are new chapters that deal with the testing of DC machines, the three phase alternator and electromechanical energy conversion.
Basic Electrical Engineering also contains various insightful chapters such as Magnetic Circuit, AC Parallel Circuit, Single Phase Transformers, Basic Material used in Electrical Machines, DC Generators and AC series circuit.
Basic Electrical Engineering also contains a very helpful pedagogy section. This also includes exercise problems which help students grasp concepts better. There are three hundred and forty four exercise problems present in the book. There are 877 review questions as well and over 200 problems which are already solved. The book has an Introduction and Summary for every chapter, and also includes a Points to Remember section which has important points and formulae.
This book can be useful for Electrical Engineering and for various branches of engineering like CSE, ECE, EEE, Chemical and Mechanical, and also for competitive exams like UPSC and GATE.
