MADHURI A. JOSHI, Ph.D., is Professor of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering at College of Engineering Pune (COEP), Pune. She has more than 40 years of teaching and research experience and her research interests are in the field of Signal and Image Processing. Dr. Joshi has been a Commonwealth Scholar for research at University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST), Manchester, UK and a recipient of the Sir Thomas Ward Memorial Gold Medal; Best teacher award 2010–2011 from Govt. of Maharashtra; and IETE Prof. S.V.C. Aiya Memorial Gold Medal for excellence in research and excellence in telecom education. She has authored four books and published over 160 research papers including 50 at international level. She is a Fellow of IET (UK), senior member IEEE, FIE (India), FIETE (India), and a life member of ISTE.
