About The Author
H G Singh, is an eminent Agricultural Scientist and a renowned Plant Breeder of the country. Prof. Singh has been involved in the varietal improvement of diverse crops wheat, rice, pulses, oilseeds, cotton, tobacco and jute and has several varieties of these crops to his credit. He has served on various committees pertaining to Agricultural Research and Education in India and abroad. Presently Prof. Singh is serving on the editorial board of 'PLANT BREEDING JOURNAL' (z. Pflanzenuchtung).
S N Mishra, has wide experience of working with breeding and genetics of forage grasses, legumes, oats and maize; he has several varieties of forage crops to his credit.
T B Singh, is Professor of Plant breeding and Senior Wheat Breeder, G.B. Pant Univ. of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar. Prof. Singh has been working on wheat breeding and genetics for more than two decades and has developed several high yielding and disease resistant varieties of wheat, which have contributed towards 'Green Revolution' in India.
Hari Har Ram, is Professor of Vegetable Breeding and head of Horticulture Department, G.B. Pant Univ. of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar. He is a well known Plant Breeder having several varieties of soybean and vegetables to his credit and author of three books on vegetables and plant breeding.
D P Singh, is Senior Scientist Pulses, G.B. Pantnagar Univ. of Agriculture and Technolgy, Pantnagar and a well experienced pulses breeder having several varieties of pulses to his credit. He has publised two well known books one on disease and insect resistance (springer Verlag) and the other on Pulses (Kalyani, India).
