Working for 37 years at senior management positions in the hydrocarbon industry in India and abroad, he has served organizations like Indian Oil Corporation, Engineers India Limited, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, GOI Refineria Isla in Caribbean, and Reliance Industries. During his long professional journey, he first developed a strong liking, and later a passion for Yoga. He has been teaching Yoga for the last twenty years to professionals, executives, commoners and families in India, USA and South America as a community service amid his busy professional career. After retirement in 2002, popularizing yoga -- through consulting, writing, conducting seminars and workshops, and by taking practical yoga classes -- became his mission. Indu Trehan, co-author of the book, holds an M Sc. from Delhi University. She worked as a research scientist in Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and World Health Organization (WHO) for several years before taking an early retirement to team with her husband for promoting yoga among masses.
