Chetan Singh Solanki is an associate professor at IIT-Mumbai, in the department of energy science and engineering. He received his PhD from Interuniversity Micro-electronics Center, Belgium. He is involved in research related to concentrated PV systems, thin film Si-solar cell, and carbon nanotubes. He received the European Material Research Society Young Scientist Award, and a UGC scholarship. He has written over forty journals and papers
