About the Author

James Cateridge is a Senior Lecturer in Film Studies at Oxford Brookes University. He researches and teaches British cinema, film policy and the international film industry. In addition to his academic research and teaching, James has also worked in film and video distribution for Columbia Tristar, arts administration at the Arts Council of England, film journalism for the London Film Festival and as a research consultant for Screen East, the regional film body for the East of England
