About the Author
Nik Perring lives in Cheshire where he writes, mostly, short stories-which have been published widely, in the UK and abroad, on-line and in print, read on the radio, printed on fliers and used in a distance learning creative writing course for US high school students. He likes fountain pens, the autumn and writing down the things he makes up. His debut collection of short, short stories, Not So Perfect, is published by Roast Books and out now. Caroline Smailes was born in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. In September 2005, she enrolled in an MA in Creative Writing and over the next year she wrote In Search of Adam and finished it in August 2006. She launched a website and a blog in that month. Three weeks later Clare Christian, then MD of The Friday Project, stumbled onto her blog. She requested Caroline?s full manuscript and then offered a publishing contract. In Search of Adam was published in June 2007. Her novels have been translated to Italian and Portuguese. She lives in the North West of England.
