About The Author
Dr. A. S. Murthy, hails from a family of reputed professor and took to teaching profession out of passion. He served as a member of the teaching faculty in the Dept. of Electrical Engineering, NIE, Mysore, (formerly affiliated to the University of Mysore, presently an autonomous institution of Visvesvaraiah Technological University) for a long period of over three decades. He was a popular teacher and a recipient of the Best Teacher award from the Institution of Engineers during his career. After his retirement as a Professor, he has taken up documenting his teaching experience in writing books in his field. His other books are Fundamentals of Electric Circuits with PSPICE, Transformers and Induction Motors, Synchronous Machines and DC Motors. Control Systems as one of his favorite subject for teaching.
