Jyoti Pande Lavakare is a financial journalist who has worked for both the national (Economic Times) and international press (Dow Jones Newswires) between 1990–2002, reporting from South Asia, and has also written regular columns on start-ups and the entrepreneurial ecosystem, for the Business Standard, New York Times blog (India Ink) and Economic Times. From 2013 she began working in the area of air pollution and co-founded Care For Air in 2015, first as a platform to build awareness and advocate for clean air, then as a registered non-profit.
