Entrance Exam Preparation
The National Council of Hotel Management and Catering Technology NCHMCT) is an autonomous organisation under the Ministry of Tourism. The NCHMCT conducts a Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) to select students for admission to various courses in its affiliated educational institutions. Besides the NCHMCT, the Indira Gandhi National Open University also offers courses on hotel management.
Hotel Management And Hospitality Administration Entrances (2014) covers all the essentials for the different entrance exams for admission to hotel management colleges across the country. Besides thorough concepts coverage, it also provides adequate practise for students.
Students need to have passed the 10+2 or equivalent high school exam through a recognised board. The students are tested on general aptitude and general knowledge. The JEE consists of five sections, each testing a different area of skill and knowledge.
The sections of the exam include scientific aptitude, reasoning, logical deduction, and English Language. The first three sections are thirty marks each, and the English section is 60 marks. The service aptitude section carries a total of 50 marks.
This book covers the exam syllabus in six sections - Numerical Ability, English Language, Reasoning and Logical Deduction, General Knowledge, Service Aptitude, and Scientific Aptitude. These sections cover all the basic concepts needed to answer questions on those topics.
Each section ends with questions, based on the exam test pattern. The answers and hints to these exercise questions have also been provided. The solved papers of the 2012 and 2013 exams are also included in the book. Besides this, it contains three practise tests based on the exam pattern.
Hotel Management And Hospitality Administration Entrances (2014) was published in paperback in 2013 by Arihant Publishers.
The solved previous years papers in the book provide students with a clear idea of the pattern of the exam, types of questions asked, and topics covered.
The three practise sets at the end of the book provide practise in tackling the exam before the actual test.
