His book, How to Win Friends and Influence People, was a bestseller since it was published in 1936. It has, so far, sold 15 million copies worldwide and has been translated into 31 languages. Carnegie's divorced his first wife in 1931, and in 1944 he married Dorothy Prince Vanderpool, from who he is now divorced as well. He died at his home in New York from Hodgkin's disease.
