Prof. (Dr.) Vanita Tripathi
Dr. Vanita Tripathi is Professor of Finance at the Department of Commerce, Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi. She is also M.Phil. —Finance area coordinator. Prof. Tripathi is the recipient of BEST BUSINESS ACADEMIC OF THE YEAR (BBAY) AWARD, GOLD MEDAL in year 2012 & prestigious PROF. MANUBHAI M. SHAH MEMORIAL AWARD & GOLD MEDAL in year 2014. She is MOOC Coordinator and Paper coordinator of Financial Management of M.Com under e-PG PATHSHALA project of UGC under the NMEICT initiative of Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India.
An alumnus of Shri Ram College of Commerce, she holds the rare distinction of being DOUBLE GOLD MEDALIST of University of Delhi in B.Com (Hons.) & M.Com. and is also M.Phil. topper. She is Ph.D. in Finance from University of Delhi. Actively engaged in teaching and research activities. She has published eight books and about 7 dozen research papers in reputed international and National Journals including Emerald Journals, Sage Journals, Asian Journal of Business & Accounting of University of Malaya and Colombo Business Journal. She has received Thirteen Best Research paper awards. Twelve of her research papers are included in Top Tenpaper Lists under various categories by Social Science Research Network (SSRN.Com). She has more than 19 years of teaching and research experience at post graduate level and successfully supervised and supervising many Ph.D. & M.Phil. scholars. She has delivered key note addresses, presented research papers and chaired many national and international conferences including World Finance Conferences held at New York in 2016 and at Greece in 2011. She has completed two research projects sponsored by Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) and UGC.
She has also contributed to curriculum development at various levels and been associated with CBSE, NCERT and KVS in various capacities. She is a member of various prestigious academic associations including The American Finance Association. Her name is included in the Worldwide Directory of Finance Faculty maintained jointly by Ohio State University and AFA. She is on the panel of experts in different universities. Her areas of interest include Investment management, particularly asset pricing, socially responsible investing, green investing, behavioural finance and corporate finance.
