The novel The Kite Runner: Graphic Novel by Khaled Hosseini is a book that comes with a profound storyline set against an equally profound era. The novel becomes a window through which we not only get to see the story of two young and devoted friends but, also such tumultuous events of the time as the Soviets invading Afghanistan, the overthrow of Afghanistan's monarchy, the Afghan community who exiles to America etc. The graphic reproduction of the novel portrays pages of vibrant and exquisite illustrations, which not only brings the character alive but, also takes the reader closer to the story and the emotions therein.

Amir is forced to live with the guilt and the two eventually become enemies.

The third part opens with Amir's return to Pakistan, Peshawar and to Rahim Khan his father's close friend. From him he learns some heartbreaking and shocking truth about his friend's identity. How Amir finally treads the road to redemption constitutes the final part of the story.

The novel The Kite Runner: Graphic Novel is a recipient of the 2004 South African Boeke Prize. According to Nielsen BookScan, it was the first best seller of year 2005 in the US. It was thus, an International best seller. Khaled Hosseini's novel was also adapted into a film in the year 2007. The movie won numerous awards and was even nominated for the Oscars in the year 2008. And now the graphic illustration of the novel has also been well received by readers.

As a child, Khaled Hosseini read a number of Persian poetry as well as novels. Today, he is not only an author but, is also a Physician.
Apart from The Kite Runner: Graphic Novel, Khaled Hosseini is also the author of A Thousand Splendid Suns which again topped the fiction bestseller charts on May 2007. His third novel And The Mountains Echoed is on the verge of release.
Khaled Hosseini is now the citizen of the United States where he has been living since the age of fifteen. He lives in Northern California with his wife and two children.
