This will be seen at once by comparing the elegant record of Sikandar's reign, which was prepared by Zarz'n-a'ast, or the golden handed writer (plate XXVIII) with the formal arrangement of the club-headed letters of Masaud Jani's time (plate XXI), the barb-headed letters of Yusuf Shah's time, and the railing-like letters of Barbak Shah's time.
