Stock Exchanges, Investments, And Derivatives: Straight Answers To 250 Nagging Questions is a one-stop resource guide about the stock exchange, its derivatives, and investments. As the authors maintain, this book is not a get-rich-quick scheme, nor will it turn readers into "expert" traders. In fact, the authors claim that readers are just as likely to lose money as they are able to earn it. After reading this text, readers will become increasingly familiar with functions of the stock exchanges in India. Readers who have a sound knowledge of the basic arithmetic, will be able to build and maintain his or her investment portfolio. The text is presented in a simple yet direct, question and answer format. This third edition was built on the previous two editions, and is based on feedback sent in by readers. As a result, this newer edition contains more questions and answers on topics such as GDRs, ADRs, and mutual funds. Stock Exchanges, Investments, And Derivatives: Straight Answers To 250 Nagging Questions is presented in three sections and twenty four chapters. In the first section titled Stock Exchanges, the authors have included topics such as Equity Investments, Stock Index, IPOs, Public Issues, Bonds, Debentures, Trading, Speculation, Mutual Funds, Dematerialization, ADRs, GDRs, Share Splits, Share Prices, Portfolio Perspective, and CAPM.
