Jackie Brealy is a mother of four whose 13 year-old son, Matt, has Asperger's syndrome, a form of autism. She is a primary school teacher who has trained in special needs teaching and now teaches many children with conditions on the autistic spectrum in a mainstream primary school as well as giving talks to parents of children newly diagnosed with autism. Beverly Davies has been a journalist for over 25 years, originally as literary and children's editor of a national women's magazine.
