Training in obstetrics and gynaecology is based on clinical exposure and a strong foundation of knowledge. There are some immutable aspects related to basic sciences in every field, but knowledge is constantly evolving. There is a surfeit of information, and there is a felt-need to distill this into a practical and useful manner.
