Mathematics is a beautiful and interesting branch of study. However, many students unnecessarily have a phobia about it. My effort in this book has been to present the theory, examples and questons in a coherent and well-knit manner, not only encourage the students to learn and understand the subject but also provide an insight into its beauty. In the present edition, brought out in two volumes- Vol I (Section A) and Vol II (section A (continued), B and CJ, the number of solved examples has been sufficiently increased to meet the needs of all categories of students. The book has been thoroughly revised according to the new syllabus prescribed by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations. Based on the feedback from teachers, a new feature, 'Typical Illustrative Examples and Typical Problems' has been added for those students who want to attempt some more challenging problems. Answers of the problems have been given at the end of each chapter.
