The Bachelor of Hotel Management & Catering Technology (BHMCT) programme offered by the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) aims at covering the major theoretical and practical components of hospitality operations and management. The admission to BHMCT degree offered by the GGSIPU is done on the basis of the rank secured in the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by the university. The present study package designed to clear the CET with flying colors has been divided into the following four sections:

  • English Language and Comprehension

  • General Awareness

  • Logical and Analytical Ability

  • Knowledge of Accounts / Commerce and Science

Each section in the book has been covered systematically with relevant theoretical content as well as ample number of solved and unsolved questions designed strictly on the lines of the questions asked in previous years common entrance tests. The English Language and Comprehension section covers the basics of English comprehension and grammar, whereas the Logical and Analytical Ability section covers Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning divided into number of individual chapters along with a Computer Awareness section which is necessary for qualifying in each and every entrance test. The fourth section covers the basics of Accounts/Commerce and Science with coverage of relevant theoretical content. Each section also contains two section tests aimed at thorough revision of the concepts which are discussed in each section. Also three practice sets designed according to the examination pattern of the CET have been provided at the end of the book for revision and self analysis. To give an upper edge to the students, 2012 and 2013 Solved Papers of GGSIPU BHMCT CET have been provided in the beginning of the book.
