The Stars Shine Down is based on the life story of a young lady named Lara Cameron, who suffered from rejection at a young age, and struggled to survive. Sidney Sheldon was a renowned author from Illinois, United States.
Apart from this book, Sheldon wrote a number of other books, and they include The Other Side Of Midnight, A Stranger In The Mirror, and Are You Afraid Of The Dark?.
Through the course of his 38-year career, Sheldon had written 18 novels, which were either crime fiction, or thriller. These books of Sheldon have sold more than 300 million copies worldwide.
Sheldon was born on the 11th of February 1917, in Chicago, Illinois. He completed his schooling from East High School, Denver, and later went on to obtain his degree from Northwestern University. In the year 1947, Sheldon was presented with an Academy Award For Writing Original Screenplay, for The Bachelor And The Bobby-Soxer. He passed away on the 30th of January 2007, as a result of complications due to Pneumonia. Sheldon was married thrice-Jane Kaufman Harding, Jorja Curtright, and Alexandra Joyce Kostoff. Sheldon has been rated as the 7th best-selling fiction author of all time.
