The arts: general issues
Written by Indian economist and scholar Arindam Chaudhuri along with his wife, Professor Rajita Chaudhuri, Thorns To Competition provides a new outlook into the way people perceive competition. The book talks about the various strategies that can be employed to deal with this competition and aptly examines the role such measures play in helping individuals carve their way to success in the marketing world.
Thorns To Competition lists out six ways to deal with competition. These six strategies, which form the acronym T-H-O-R-N, basically revolve around the central theme of courage and aggression, two very important concepts when it comes to dealing with the marketing and the consequent selling of a product in the 21st century.
Thorns To Competition is ideal for people who aim to understand the very intricacies of marketing and seek to succeed in their business. With real-life examples of products that have failed in the market and ones that have revolutionized the marketing scenario, the book not only focuses on the 'selling mantra' that today's market needs but also on the need to have great products.
