Penny Jordan was the pen name of Penelope Jones, who was often referred to as the queen of romance. She was born on the 24th of November, 1946, in England. Jones began to develop a keen interest in reading at a young age. She quit grammar school, having O-levels in English Language, English Literature, and Geography. She worked as a shorthand typist for about 14 years in Manchester. Jones published her debut novel in the year 1979, under the pen name Caroline Courtney. Through the vast course of her literary career, Jordan penned and published over 200 romance fiction novels, selling more than 70 million copies all over the world. Jordan passed away on the 31st of December, 2011, due to cancer.
