Yet another venture from the story teller of north Malabar. Most of these tales are set in Kalloor, which had been the setting for the author’s debut novel Monsoons in Malabar. While some among these fourteen stories discuss surrealistic experiences of the central characters, a few harp on struggles for existence in a heartless world. Some deal with the fallout of sensual relations outside the gambit of matrimony. A few rely on folklore and mythology to punctuate the thematic drift of the narratives.
