Prof Bhikshu Satyapala

Prof Bhikshu Satyapala is the head in the Department of Buddhist Studies, University of Delhi. He received his Ph.D. degree from university of Delhi. M.A. from Magadh University and Palyacariya from Kamleswar Singh Darbhanga Sanskrit Viswavidyalaya. He has been awarded with Gold Medal For securing outstanding position in the examination of M.A. (Pali) as well as in Vinaya-Sutta-Abhidhamma-Vasarada Upadhi. His research interest include Theravada Abhidhamma Philosophy. Theravada Buddhist Psychology, Pali (Language and Literature) etc. He has authored 15 books aong them Terlakatahagatha, Buddher Bhasa, Buddher Divyadristhi O Ahjivaka Upak Kaccayanamysaso, Khudrakapatha, Pali, Sahitya Chandra-Katha, Nirvana:Manava Jivaner Laksya, Buddher Darshane Dukkha Darshan are most popular books as well as he is editor of Seventeen Volumes of the reputed journals of “Buddhist Studies of the Department of Buddhist Studies and he himself is contributing articles in various journals and books.
