The last completed novel by Jane Austen, *Persuasion* is perhaps one of the most literary of her works. The plot follows 27-year-old Anne Elliot, one of Austen’s few adult heroines, in her life full of the ups and downs.
Follow Anne’s adventures as she deals with a vain, unreasonable father, love lost and found, and as she learns how people can change so much over time and still remain the same.
Elegant, but also bittersweet, *Persuasion* has all the ingredients that make it a pleasure to read and satisfies the more practical readers among us.

Jane Austen

Jane Austen was an English novelist, known for her six novels that critiqued the novels of sensibility of the 18th century. These novels also represent the transition to 19th-century literary realism. These famous novels are Sense and Sensibility (1811), Pride and Prejudice (1813), Mansfield Park ( 1814), and Emma (1816). She also wrote two additional novels, Northanger Abbey and Persuasion, both published posthumously in 1818.
