Kahill Gibran

Born on January 6, 1883, in the village of Bisharri, Lebanon, Kahill Gibran was 12 when he migrated to America along with his family in 1895 due tp poverty. He studied in Paris and then came back to New York. Gibrans famous trilogy comprises The Prophet, The Garden of the Prophet and The Death of the Prophet. Ge passed away in 1931, when he was only 48 due to liver ailment, and his body was shipped back and cremated in Lebanon.
