Srinivasan Charuhasan

Charuhasan, a noted name in the South Indian film industry, practised law in Ramnad and Madurai districts in Tamil Nadu till 1975 and then at the Madras High Court till 1986. His acting career began with his debut in Uthiri Pookkal. He won instant recognition and acted in some famous roles in acclaimed films, bagging pretigious awards like a National Award for the best actor for Tabarana Kathe in Kannada in 1986, a Karnataka state award and a Filmfare Award in 1993. He is also a good singer, a musicologist, and a vibrant orator - both in English and Tamil.
