The idea is very attractive, to present maximum information about a disease, in a brief but thorough manner, followed by an algorithm about how to proceed in managing the critically ill patients. In fact, this is what we do daily, go through the differential diagnoses, confirm, or refute these by asking for focused investigations and imaging, and proceed with treatment, while balancing the risks and benefits of a particular way of treating the patient.
