Molecular Cloning: A Laboratory Manual (Fourth Edition) is an exhaustive guide and manual for molecular biologists. The book covers all aspects of cellular and molecular biology including nucleic acid based techniques for inclusion, recent advances in gene transfer, genome sequencing, and bioinformatics. The book also consists of new chapters on microarrays, next-generation sequencing technologies, RNA interference and epigenetic analysis using DNA methylation techniques and chromatin immunoprecipitation. In addition, the book has several colored pictures and illustrations to understand the complex concepts of molecular biology better. This book is essential for students of biotechnology and those researching on genes. About the Authors Michael R. Green is a professor of molecular medicine and director of the Program in Gene Function and Expression at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. He is currently researching on the eukaryotic gene regulation and cancer molecular biology. He completed his MD and PhD degrees from Washington University School of Medicine. He was awarded a Helen Hay Whitney Postdoctoral Fellowship at Harvard University in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Dr. Green was also awarded the Searle Scholar Award, the Presidential Young Investigators Award, and the McKnight Neuroscience Award. Joseph Sambrook is a British molecular biologist best known for his research on DNA oncoviruses and molecular biology of cancerous cells. He completed his education from University of Liverpool and obtained his PhD at the Australian national University. He was hired by James Watson to work at the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory in 1969. Dr. Sambrook is best known for his extensive research on DNA tumor viruses and the molecular biology of neoplastic cells.
