Natural Resources is a highly interdisciplinary subject focused on understanding and managing the "natural"environment and its resources, and on human interaction with our environment in order to provide for both the continued human use and existence of elements in the "natural" environment, particularly wildlife, fish and forests.

The most significant changes is seen in the governmental emphasis on area-based approach for the management of natural resources. There is increasing acceptance of participatory resource management by involving local communities, officials, non-governmental organisations and other stakeholders. This comprehensive text is the perfect reference for anyone involved in conservation and environmentally sound natural resources management. Its introductory material is helpful to students as a learning tool and its in depth information makes this text a ready reference for professionals.
