About this book: This Manual is prepared by editing the Ph.D dissertation of Dr. M. Srinivasan, awarded on 20th April 2006. Most of the techniques and assessment methods developed for the optimization of growth and breeding performance with detailed nutritional requirements, feed formulation and preparation strategy. Fishes that are chosen (Air breathing) can well tolerate the low BOD water may be suitable for effluent treatment ecosystem and associated fish meal production. 2. A simple protocol for the manipulation of key environmental factors at the productive system for the maximum yield was demonstrated. 3. A methodology to calculate shortest possible inter-spawning intervals for economical breeding was demonstrated. 4. All the results obtained by these experiments can be adopted as such in productive system.
