Gibran was a Lebanese writer poet and visual artist best known for The Prophet (1923) a book of fables that has been translated into over 40 languages. His drawings and paintings have been exhibited in the great capitals of the world and compared by Auguste Rodin to the work of William Blake. Kahlil Gibran died in 1931.
