											Sir Arthur Conan Doyle was a British author and physician best known for creating the iconic detective Sherlock Holmes. Born in Edinburgh, Scotland, he studied medicine and practiced as a doctor while writing fiction. His first Holmes story, A Study in Scarlet, was published in 1887. Over his career, Conan Doyle wrote numerous novels, short stories, and plays, blending genres like mystery, science fiction, and historical fiction.
