This is a book on The army heroes of India. It is unfortunate that most of these valiant heroes, some of whom sacrificed their life for the nation are not sufficiently well known even in the army circles and hardly known at all by the nation at large. It is hoped that this book will give the recognition that is due to these heroes and martyrs of the Indian Army and inspire the soldiers and officers of the Indian Army. In addition, it is also hoped that it will give them confidence in themselves in the great and selfless work that they are doing for the nation. The book is meant for young officers and recruits, to remind them of the traditions of our military culture.
