Lily is a happy seven-year-old who loves to dance. She dreams of performing live on TV one
day.
Lily lives with her parents in a makeshift hut on a footpath in Kolkata, right outside a big house belonging to the affluent Basus. The hut is an eyesore and Mr Basu wants it razed and its inhabitants driven away.
Sukhi, a resourceful boy living on the platform at the bustling Sealdah station, is both Lily’s dance master and her best friend. He is determined to help Lily and her poor parents.
Soon it is a race against time as an eviction notice is served to Lily’s distraught parents. They will be shunted out of the big city and be deprived of their means of livelihood. Meanwhile, an unlikely bond blossoms between the Basus and Lily and Sukhi. Will the Basus have a change of heart? Can they help little Lily find a new home with her family and live her dreams?
