Fatima Hasan
An accomplished author, Begum Fatima Hasan (1940-1998), published six books in addition to numerous works broadcast as Urdu programming by All India Radio, Lucknow and published in popular Urdu magazines. These collected works include three books of short stories: Chauthaa Shauhar (The Fourth Husband), Awaraa Bagule (Wanderer Egrets), and Gul-o-Khar (Flowers & Thorns) as well as a book of stories for children, Qabaili Kahaniyan (Tribal Tales). Two of her books, Ghazaliyat-e-Zamin (Ghazals by Zamin) and Majmua-e-Qasaid-o-Salaam (Anthology of Odes and Blessings) consist of works by her father, Professor S.M. Zamin Ali, that she published after his death.
