Aratis are sacred devotional prayers expressing deep reverence, gratitude and surrender to the deity. These Aratis form an important part of daily worship. These are performed at specific times in the day and become part and parcel of the sincere devotees life. The tradition of Sri Shiridi Sai Aratis began during the Babas lifetime itself by his close devotees such as Mahalsapathi, Thatyasaheb Noolkar, Balakrishna Viswanadh Dev, Madhavarao Adkar, Upasini Maharaj, Sri Krishna Jogeswar Bheeshma and many other prominent worshipers. There are four main Aratis which are performed in Sri Sainathas Temple daily: Kakad Arati, Midday Arati, Dhoop Arati and Shej Arati.
