Shyam Phatak is a B.Com. (Hons.) Graduate from Pune University and a recipient of the R.D. Joshi Prize for topping the University in his Elective subject. Cooking is a hobby that the author has enjoyed for many years. His wife Deepa is the lamp of knowledge behind this book. This hobby has found full expression after his retirement, finally culminating in his maiden venture jointly with his wife for writing the book Cooking Made Easy.
