She is associated with several national and international scientific and professional bodies. Dr. Meenakshi has to her credit various research articles/papers published in reputed journals and conference proceedings. She received the Prof. R.C. Singh Medal and Citation from the Institution of Engineers, India in 1997, and the Career Award for Young Teachers from AICTE for 2004-2005. Her areas of specialization include wastewater treatment, air pollution, industrial sludge management, environment biotechnology, and environmental informatics.
