Monikuntla Bhattacharjya

Monikuntla Bhattacharjya is a well known and popular figure in Assamese literature. Within a very short period, she established herself as a versatile and prominent writer. Her writings are very unique and marvelous, different and vibrant which could not be expressed in words. In the year 2000 she has expressed herself through poems and in 2004 she won the Munin Barkataky award for short stories. In the year 2008 she was awarded the prestigious Kalaguru Bisnu Prasad Rabha award by the Asam Sahitya Sabha for her novel based on mobile theater and in the year 2010 the Bhabani Sarma Smarak short stories award. Her writings has been translated into several languages. Puja Rajkumari is Executive Editor of ‘North East Business Reporter’ and Co-founder of online magazine The MindSpace (www.themindspacemag.com). Earlier she worked with the prestigious The Little Magazine and Foreign Policy journal Diplomatist Plus. Her works have been published in various national and international journals and newspapers.
