A large number of students appear in UPSC-IFS (Agriculture) examination every year and Agriculture is one of the subject. Agriculture graduates always find difficulty in preparation of this examination due to lack of good books. Presentation of this book is simple, lucid and unambiguous for easy understanding of the subject matter. Though the book is based on the syllabus of UPSC-IFS (Agriculture), it may be useful not only to IFS aspirants but also to all those who are preparing for PCS, ICAR exams, Bank Services and other such examinations.

Dr. B. B. Singh (M.Sc., Ph.D., PGDEM, FLWS, FISEP) stands out to be one of the innovative writers of the modern era. He was actively engaged in teaching and research at B.Sc. (Ag.), M.Sc. (Ag.) and Ph.D. levels, at A.N.D. University of Agriculture and Technology, Ayodhya, U.P. Having authored more than twenty eight and edited numerous books, he holds a rich experience in the publishing industry; skilled in research, copywriting, and copy editing. He is the first recipient of the Young Scientist Award conferred by International Society for Environmental Protection, among other accolades including Rajbhasha Gaurav Award-2018 by Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India, Fellowship of Living World Society (FLWS) and International Society for Environmental Protection (FISEP) towards outstanding contribution in the field of Agricultural Sciences. He has published number of research papers in international journals of repute and also presented various research papers in several International Conferences. Dr. Naresh Kaushik did his graduation in 1994 from CCS Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar. Dr. Kaushik has worked in the capacity of Scientist, Principal Scientist and Principal, college of Agriculture, Bawal. He also worked with Indian Oil Corporation Ltd as Manager (biofuels). He has more than 20 years of experience as researcher, teacher and manger in the field of Agriculture Sciences. He is doctorate in forestry and has a vast experience for working in various agro – climatic conditions. Dr. Kaushik has published more than 65 research papers in the journals of national and international repute and also authored 4 books.
