Rangarajan R is an ex-IAS officer, a Chartered Accountant, and a Cost Accountant. Starting his career in a leading global audit and consulting firm, he went on to become a corporate banker after his chartered accountancy with one of the largest private sector banks. He subsequently cleared the UPSC CSE, as a working professional, in his first attempt in 2005 securing AIR-46. In his role as an IAS officer, Rangarajan served in the states of Assam & Meghalaya. He has been training and inspiring civil service aspirants since 2016. He has published a fiction novel titled A Madras Mystery. He runs a YouTube channel @PolityRangarajanExIAS, where he discusses current events relating to polity. A running enthusiast, he has completed more than twenty-five half marathons.
