This book will meet the need to master the skills of clinical diagnosis. While the ability to rapidly recall facts is a need that many texts can support the physician in learning, this text will begin to teach the art of narrowing the differential diagnosis. It will guide the trainee through the mesh of various possibilities presented through case studies to develop their skills in making a specific diagnosis amongst a plethora of possibilities. The method by which this text will accomplish its mission is to progressively narrow toward a single diagnosis following the elimination of other possibilities by key points in the case history intake, clinical exam, and laboratory investigations. Once the diagnosis is made, the reader is taken into the details of the particular disease concerned. Thus the approach is two-fold: 1. to inculcate the skills needed to make a diagnosis and 2. to learn relevant information of the most common diseases specific id that presentation. The text will be comprised of an array of Case Studies grouped under relevant and respective systems. While most diseases are covered in some systems„ major symptoms are taken into considerations as representative case studies
