The National Policy on Education 2020 has recognised the importance of developing a strong foundation of learning during the early developmental age (3-8 Years) of Children emphasising on foundational literacy and numeracy. In view of policy's perspective of holistic development of children, the National Curriculum Framework for Foundational Stage (NCF-FS) has recommended curricular goals, competencies and learning outcomes aligned to the development domains such as physical, socio-emotional-ethical, cognitive, language, language and literacy, aesthetic and cultural and positive learning habits.
