D. Venkatesh MD is serving as Professor at the Department of Physiology, M.S. Ramaiah Medical College, Bengaluru. He has a rich experience of over 35 years of teaching physiology to both UG and PG students. He has published/presented more than 100 scientific papers in national and international journals and conferences. He is a recipient of FAIMER (Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education and Research, Philadelphia, USA) fellowship for innovation in medical education. He has been bestowed with K.P. Puthuraya National Award for the Best Teacher in Physiology and ML Gupta Award for Substantial Contribution in Medical Education awarded by the Association of Physiologists and Pharmacologists of India. He is on the Editorial Board of several journals and is also a member of the National Scientific Advisory Committee of the Association of Physiologists and Pharmacologists of India.
