Sutapa Basu
Sutapa Basu is an award-winning author, educationist and writing coach. Her books have been awarded the Best Fiction Award by AutHer Awards, 2020, nominated for Anupam Kher Award for Debut Novels,2017, Valley of Words Young Adult Literature Award, 2023. She is First Prize winner of Write India Campaign, 2016 and awarded Excellence in Publishing, 2021.
She is well-known for best-selling historical novel, Padmavati. Her other historical novels are The Legend of Genghis Khan, The Curse of Nader Shah, Parvatibai. Her thrillers are Dangle and The Cursed Inheritance. Murder In The Jungle is her Young Adults mystery while Princesses, Monsters and Magical Creatures is her children's literature. Her famous non-fiction book is The Birth Of My Nation and her anthologies are Out of the Blue, The Anatomy of Affection.
Her short stories have appeared in anthologies, Crossed & Knotted, Defiant Dreams, When They Spoke and Write India Stories. Her poems have been published in The Muse, Kaafiyana,The Dawn Beyond Waste & The Remnants of Loss. She has authored academic series The English Route, Emerald, The English Tree for K-12.
She trains children, adults and school faculty through Sutapa's Studio and runs an online talk show, Bistro Buzz, Conversations with Sutapa Basu.
