The Secret Garden: (Penguin Classics Deluxe Edition) is about a girl named Mary who is sent to live on her uncle’s estate in the Yorkshire moors after the death of her parents. There, in the ruins of a walled garden, she discovers a room where she finds a cousin named Colin, whom she never knew existed. Colin was locked up, ignored and abandoned to die by her father. Mary and the housemaid’s son, Dickon, befriend Colin and restore the garden, which to their surprise, opens up a world of magic.


The Secret Garden: (Penguin Classics Deluxe Edition) was published in by Penguin USA in 2011 with illustrations by Jillian Tamaki to concur with the centennial of this classic children’s tale. This deluxe edition is available in paperback format.
