The Student's Book of Islam is a series of Islamic studies textbooks, that introduces Muslim students to the essentials of their faith, and brings s to light the historic and cultural aspects of Islam in an elaborate manner. The series may be used for pre-primary and primary schools. The series conforms to the vision of the latest National Curriculum Framework(NCF).Books in this series are also aligned with the new National Education Policy. We hope the teachers will find this book a useful aid for their teaching and discussions. The Student's Book of Islam aims at providing elementary and basic knowledge of the important principles of Islam. This is written especially for children who are being taught in the English language. An effort has been made to keep the language simple and lucid, keeping in view the vocabulary and the level of understanding of a child. This series covers all the essential elements of faith, without burdening the child with details and without introducing things beyond his/her level of comprehension. I have tried my best to avoid any mistake and have used my skill and knowledge to give accurate and updated information in this book. The appearance of any name, place and incidence, if any, in the illustrations and contents used, is purely coincidental. The same, in no manner, can be termed as defamatory to any individual, religion or community. We have also avoided, at this stage, many details which we would like to convey to the children, keeping in view their response to the course. All praise is due to Allah, for providing us with the resources that have enabled us to complete this series. It is our sincere wish and hope that it will impact our Muslim children today, and for many years to come.
